The 23rd Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Run will be leaving Philadelphia, PA, on Sunday, May 12, 2019, and will be arriving in Washington, DC on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Our first night will be spent in, Aberdeen, Maryland. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

On the second night, our group will stay at the Holiday Inn, College Park, Maryland. That evening, in Washington, DC, the annual Candlelight Vigil will be held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. After an abbreviated dinner, Prince George’s County Police Department will provide transportation for our group to attend the Candlelight Vigil.

At the Vigil, we will stand among approximately 100,000 survivors and law enforcement officers as the names of Fallen Officers from 2018 are formally added to the Memorial. This is a very emotional and poignant ceremony and signifies the formal commencement of National Police Week.

We need to know if you plan to go on the run with us this year. We will be accepting registrations at our website LEMR.us, you can click on the registration page. If you are selling T-shirts this will also be captured on the registration page. A tentative date for the first T-shirt pickup is Saturday March 2nd, 2019 at the Walt Whitman Bridge. This will be our first pick up and we will do a second pick up in March/April (date TBD). You will need to have your registration submitted by February 22nd if you plan to pick up on the March 2nd date. A mock up of this year’s shirt is included as an attachment.

If you know anyone else who would like to go please give them this email including the attachment. All survivors and runners from previous years will have priority. All survivors and runners from previous years will have priority.  New runners will then be added as space is available. We are hoping to have 200 participants this year. Our meals and lodging arrangements have already been based on that number.

As usual, we are going to need an advance commitment to the 2019 Law Enforcement Memorial Run, which is $300.00, made payable to LEMR and mailed to FOP 30 at P.O. Box 1466, Bellmawr NJ
08099 c/o Tim Hoagland, by March 1, 2019. Checks will also be accepted at the T-shirt pick-up. This will reserve your spot. As always, if you are in a situation where you are not able to send the $300.00 up front. Please let us know; we will work with you however possible.

Once you recoup your advance investment of $300.00, send the remaining money to Tim prior to May 3, 2019. All money collected needs to be in the bank, and all checks need to clear before we leave on

May 12.

** The T-shirts will be selling for $20.00 for S – XXXL. Only 40 shirts are required this year. Additionally, we will be offering Cotton tank tops in male and female for S-XXL (not counted as your 40 shirts) to sell for $20.00

Your initial $300.00 helps cover expenses, T-shirt production, lodging, meals, etc. All require significant deposits months in advance.

For those who do not sell T-shirts, but still go on the Run, the cost for your participation will be $435.00.

The LEMR is officially a 501c Charitable Organization. If you require a letter for a donation please contact Matt Lowe or John Hogan all letters will be specific to the donator.

Look for information on our donation Program in the very near future.

Once we arrive in Washington, DC on May 14, the Run’s commitment ends, in terms of meals and lodging.

If you plan on staying in Washington after the Run, a limited number of rooms may also be available at the Holiday Inn College Park (301) 345-6700. Please let me know in advance if you are staying later and require a room at College Park so I can coordinate and you don’t have to check out.

We look forward to your participation in this year’s Law Enforcement Memorial Run.

There are two ways to register and fund your LEMR run, both are at our website LEMR.us

  • Register and pay the $435.00 fee that covers your lodging and food from Philadelphia to Washington on the 12th 13thand 14th
  • OR you may sell 40 t-shirts that we supply to cover your LEMR cost. Basically you sell the shirts for $20.00 USC each. The proceeds from the 40 shirts covers the cost of the shirt and LEMR expenses. We ask that you put up front a $300.00 deposit when you pick up your shirts (or I mail them to you) and return the remaining $500.00 when you completed selling the shirts or by May 3rd 2018. (40 shirts @$20.00 ea= $800.00)
  • You may sell more than the 40 shirts required if you can and so desire. Extra funds allows the LEMR trustees to better serve the runners.
