FOP Lodge 30 of Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be sponsoring a team of runners for the NJ Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics. The date is June 7th, 2019 and the time is still to be set but is expected to be in the early afternoon hours. The run is State wide, but we will be covering a section in Camden County, (leg 10) specifically the White Horse Pike somewhere between Lawnside to Collingswood. This leg of the run ends at the Victor in Camden, NJ. Retired Camden County Officer Gary Evangelista is the run coordinator and I will get a more specific location and time from him closer to the date. I don’t expect our team to have to do more than two miles of that run.

Please go to www.njtorchrun.org for more details and to register. Once you enter the site, click on the register button and you will find our department listed under Delaware River Port Authority. I have recently been named to the FOP National Board for Special Olympics, so please come out and help me support our Union and this worthy cause.

Please e-mail me if your are interested in joining the team.

Thank you in advance,

Shawn Waters
